Christmas came and went quickly as I've come to expect. Its been nice not being in school. Not really looking forward to going back but only... six more months? I'm sure it'll fly by too.

I am missing a week end of January to go to Vancouver and Whistler!! Excited to see my bests, Shelley, and also 4 of my Fernie girlfriends. And to snowboard! Finally! Waiting in Whistler will be an aussie friend so it'll be quite the reunion to say the least.

2010... I expect debt and lots of working to minimize that. I haven't made plans but I've tried to not make plans. I've left life open for possibility, chance and surprise.

Hopefully a new camera? And more reunions.

If you knew me last year, you'd know my birthday is my favorite day of the year. Was, my favorite day of the year. I'm lacking in enthusiasm for much of anything lately, especially growing older. So 22 is going to be a low key year I'd say. I'm not going anywhere for a long time. Schools alright. I like it. All I want is to be with people I love. So tonight, I'm heading to Carman to eat with my family, and watch House, and Law and Order with my father. And I'm extremely happy about it. xx

I am excited. Mostly to have a home. To unpack and live in one place for more than a few months. Things really worked out with finding a place to live. I'll be living with my friend Tony right on Broadway. Close enough to school and most other things I love about Winnipeg. I'm looking forward to stability, hopefully. Growing up a little. Meh, not really.

This weekend being the long weekend and next week being a short week of camp, I got a real weekend. My family went to the states which was low key. Enjoying a last night in Carman before heading back to camp for the next three weeks. 

Only two more weeks of camp really and then one clean up week. Working at camp taking pictures has been exactly what I needed this summer.

For an unemployed person i've been pretty busy lately. i do enjoy it tho. monday was such a good day, even if it rained all day. i went to siloam mission in the morning, and i got my mom to come with me. so it was nice to spend time with her. we had a nice lunch after at pastry castle. had some catch ups and now i'm back in carman. Being home isnt too bad.

Sleeping Lessons.

The journey from Bangkok is now up to 54 hours from when I left to when i'll land in Winnipeg. This is rediculous. And I can't even be mad cause it's no ones fault. One flight was delayed and I missed another, and now I'm in Denver. Sweet. And I have NO money. They put me up in the Hilton and gave me a $15 meal voucher. Sweet thanks. The next 24 hours are going to be pleasant.

Whoa ... K I'm done now. Things I'm happy about: The amazingly large pizza i bought with my $15 voucher. I'm making it last me at least three meals. Um what else... I've been awake for close to 40 hours with two, two hours naps in there. So that means I'll sleep tonight, which hopefully means no jet lag. Hmm. The front desk had white chocolate chip macadamien nut cookies.. that was good.

Oh my cell phone is in Cambodia. (ya ya things never change)

I'm considering not even getting a new one, we'll see how long that lasts.

Rusted Wheels.

ugh a gecko just ran by my feet. its 2am and im awake. ive got lots of little stuff to do so taking advantage of everyone else being asleep.

today was my last day in the orphanage which was sad. but so good. the kids are extremely loving and such a joy to be around. tomorrow im going to back and sort out some stuff before taking off on thurs.

my time in vietnam is over! a month flew by like you wouldnt believe. my time here was amazing. i loved everything about the city, the program, the kids and all the other people i got to meet. i already think i'll come back here. its too bad i didnt get to see north vietnam much but i did get to travel around south vietnam on weekends which was many highlights of my trip. my three weekends were sepnt in what could be different worlds. the first weekend on the mekong river, the second in the mountains of dalat, and the third, was a weekend on the beaches of mui ne. i feel very filled.

so i broke my laptop within a day or so of being in korea and now it seemd my little camera is having troubles.. good news i have my other cam, but im frustrated with myself. i break everything! thats been the only bad thing thus far so i'll live. i am missing my moms cooking and the luxury of air con. the odd times i do get aircon i tend to get sick tho.

thurs is off to cambodia for four days. going to spend 2 in phnom pehn, the capital and then 2 in siem reap. see angkor watt!! stoked! i'll be by myself which im actually looking forward to after a month living with 20 others. after that its onto thailand for 10 days where i'm meeting up with a friend. home in 2 weeks!

Airconditioning, always a highlight. I never thought i'd say the words I'm cold, ever. Glad we stayed a night, not just for the AC but we got to see a lot more. I'm considering abandoning my life and living on a boat selling fruit. Maybe.

Tomorrow my friend Katie and I are going on a tour of the Mekong Delta. Its the far south part of Vietnam. Just going to tour a couple small towns and the floating market. Staying one night, so looking forward to that. Airconditioned rooms! Holla!
